Summary. Results obtained during muscular exercise show a decrease of platelets between 30 and 50%, we have therefore used acidificant substance such as (CI NH4) ammonium chloride, and we have found the same decrease of plateletes 30 to 52%. We think that the plateteles may absorbed by the spleen. To demonstrate this, we studied some splenectomized subjects and did not find any alteration of the number of plateletes. We also used adrenaline, because of its espleno-constrictive action and we observed no change of the plateletes in all 30 subjects. Therefore, we draw the conclusion that the plateletes are absorbed by the spleen during muscular exercise in natives of high altitude (3.600 m.s.n.m. or 14.000 ft).es
