Abstract

Under occasional political celebrations the contemporary constitutionalism inscribed on texts the principles and norms of sovereignty and food security. The rights to food, considered as metarights against starving people, are also integrated in this framework the system of fundamental social rights. The public sphere is saturated with a series of debates on the significance of sovereignty and food security, and also security techniques to new meta-right, but his early demise as a subject to be debated constantly correct and in the public sphere prevents critical reflections on the meaning to be assigned to these concepts and institutions. In this sense, this discourse raises the need to grasp the meaning of food sovereignty through the historical journey of the concept and the institution of sovereignty in modernity as a crisis of modern rational state sovereignty, now in vogue, without the mediation of a conceptual and institutional reconstruction and constitutional principles of sovereignty and food security ring hollow and empty of content.
