dc.description.abstractIn this article, we develop a numeric method that lets solve the stability analysis, which is based on the limiting equilibrium concept, the variation calculus and Mohr-Coulomb shear strength law. A function to the sn stress is derived to all slices. Furthermore, the sismic forces, punctual and distributed loads, are taken into account. This topic is very relevant, since we make a mathematical statement in order to let the geomechanic engineer have a different vision of the slope stability study. The contribution of this study is the use of the existing tools of the numeric analysis. Finally the results of the elaborated program that applies for this method by computer use are presented.
