The philosophy of existence intends to surpass itself through a risky reason -as philosophical reason-, which must return again and again to itself not to get lost in this attempt. Reason follows this path from the self-questioned reflection on its limits, and also on existence as a possibility which exceeds these limits. Because existence is unthinkable from determinations of an unfinished accomplishment by an ever unknown path, it only reveals itself with its fulfillment in death. The present remark makes reference to some notions by the thought of Heidegger and Jaspers, respectively, regarding the meaning of death in the realm of philosophizing.
