Abstract
This study focuses on the relevance of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the development of strategies to achieve meaningful learning, with the objective of promoting the integral progress of cognitive, social, operative and valuative skills. The research was carried out in an educational institution in Urasqui, province of Camaná, Arequipa. Using a basic research approach and a non-experimental descriptive correlational causal multiple causal cross-sectional design, two instruments were applied to a sample of 89 randomly selected students, maintaining representativeness in all grades. The study focused on two main variables: "Use of ICT" as Independent Variable (X) and "Significant Learning" as Dependent Variable (Z). The results revealed a highly significant positive linear relationship of 77.18% between ICT use and meaningful learning, as well as between the different ICT components and the various types of learning. The analysis of variance confirmed that the sample belongs to a single population. It is concluded that the future of ICT in education is assured to improve and enhance meaningful learning processes globally.
