The general aim of this research is to analyze the role of extra-hemispheric relations in the autonomy of Latin America. The research is part of the Autonomy School and has a Critical perspective on International Relations. It is stated that the diff erent autonomies, by the relation, by the integration, and by the diversifi cation are interdependent. Although Latin America has geographically diversified its international relations, having a new dynamism the extra-hemispheric relations, they have had a limited impact on the autonomy of the region, due to the lack of coordination of a Latin American minimum Common Foreign Policy (CFP).
