The role of the geographical imagination in the construction of the idea of territory and landscape allows us to revise from another angle a closer look at the historical and geographical relations of the gaze that opens on American geography. In this sense, this paper is part of a larger project that tries to show through a review of a part of Andres Bello's geopoetics, a new reading that moves between the paratactical and liminar spaces. It shows the central place of the call of this member of the emerging interpretative communities of the crisis of colonial order and the republican emergency, to turn their eyes on a geography that was reopened as a space of desire, as a place to find a New sense of habit that involved an aesthetic way of being and a way of producing linked to the natural and agricultural landscape.
