Abstract
Dentro del ámbito educativo se evidencia la importancia de la figura del Trabajo Social debido al proceso mediador que éste posee en torno a sus funciones dentro de un contexto social como lo son las instituciones educativas. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la importancia que tiene el Trabajador Social dentro del ámbito educativo. La investigación se abordó desde el paradigma cualitativo con metodología de investigación documental, la recolección de información se realizó a través de la revisión documental y entrevistas a cuatro profesionales del área de trabajo social. Se concluye en torno al rol del Trabajador Social en escenarios educativos, entendiendo que su principal función es la de interventor que guía a la comunidad educativa a partir de sus debilidades y fortalezas a la resolución de conflictos a través de un apoyo constante.
Within the educational field, the importance of the figure of the Social Worker is evidenced due to the mediating process that he/she has around his/her functions within a social context such as the educational institutions. The objective of this study is to analyze the importance of the social worker within the educational environment. The research was approached from the qualitative paradigm with documentary research methodology, the collection of information was done through documentary review and interviews with four professionals in the area of social work. It is concluded around the role of the social worker in educational scenarios, understanding that its main function is that of an intervener who guides the educational community from its weaknesses and strengths to the resolution of conflicts through constant support.
