This article is the result of participation in the conference: Precarious Work in the Context of the Pandemic, organized by the Federal University of Uberlandia. The article values work and employment trends in the course of Covid-19 pandemic; under the postulate that a health disaster is not only natural; but also, the result of human practices within certain social relations. This means that the risks from Covid-19, such as exposure to contagion or unemployment, are not the same for everyone. In this sense, the changes in employment and work during the Covid-19 pandemic are the result of the employment relationship, which, within capitalism, is a mercantile relationship, permeated by class, gender and ethnic inequalities.
