El aporte de Silvia Molloy y María Luisa Bastos a la lectura de Pedro Páramo

Abstract

Este texto analiza dos trabajos sobre Pedro Páramo de Juan Rulfo, escritos en los años 70 por las críticas argentinas Sylvia Molloy y María Luisa Bastos. Se considera que estos textos aportaron a la crítica de la novela identificando al menos dos elementos: i) el concepto de sustitución, que permite observar la constitución de los personajes no solo femeninos, y ii) "lo femenino", en general, y la figura de Susana San Juan, en particular, como estructurantes de la novela. Posteriormente se analiza brevemente el impacto del punto de vista de Molloy y Bastos en el concierto de la crítica de Pedro Páramo.

This text analyzes two works on Pedro Páramo, the novel of Juan Rulfo, written in the 70s by argentine critics Sylvia Molloy and María Luisa Bastos. It is considered that these texts contributed the criticism of the novel identifying at least two elements: i) the concept of substitution that allows observing the constitution of not only female characters, and ii) "the feminine", in general, and the figure of Susana San Juan, in particular, as a structuring thread of the novel. Subsequently, the impact of Molloy and Bastos' point of view on the critique of Pedro Páramo is briefly analyzed.
