Estudio del funcionamiento del sistema de televisión digital ISDB-Tb en la ciudad de Mérida, Venezuela

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the state of the art of the TDT system implementation with the ISDB-Tb standard at the Merida city, in the order to contrast the results obtained with the official information published by the Venezuelan state. To obtain the results of this article, statistical analysis using MATLAB, and radiopropagation simulations made in Radio Mobile, comparing those with qualitative studies made in various locations of the study area, randomly assigned, within the city of Merida. From this comparison the critical value for the system reception of -42.6 dBm was obtained. This value was used to state that in the northeast area of the city, the image quality is por using the dipole antenna. It also confirms that in the study area, good image quality is obtained using the flat panel antenna.
