The objective of the research was to detect the risk factors that contribute to the development of DM2 in adults over 30 years of age in the Chejepampa sector in Bolivia, applying the FINDRISK diabetes risk assessment test. The approach of this research is quantitative with a field, non-experimental design. The sample was 85 patients, over 30 years old. The technique was the survey and the instrument was the FINDRISK Test. The main results were that 30% of the sample has low risk, 35% has a slightly increased risk, 22% has a moderate risk, 12% has a high risk and 1% has a very high risk. It is concluded that the Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (Findrisk) is one of the simplest and most effective tools to prevent T2DM.
