dc.description.abstractThis document presents and discusses the relevance of the phenomenon of corruption in economic development. Likewise, it establishes the complexity involved in the approach, from its conceptualization to its measurement, as well as the limitations of the different instruments that have this purpose. Then it presents the importance of social capital for economic development and the relationship with the phenomenon of corruption is established from a descriptive approach. The results present the relationship between social capital and corruption in the analyzed countries.
