REVISIÓN: ALTERNATIVAS TERAPÉUTICAS A LOS FÁRMACOS ANTIMICROBIANOS POR LA PROBLEMÁTICA DE MULTIDROGORESISTENCIA ACTUAL

Abstract

Introducción: En la actualidad una de las situaciones que representa uno de los problemas más grandes en el ámbito de la salud es la multidrogorresistencia de los microorganismos patógenos. Objetivo: Realizar una revisión que pueda generar una recopilación de terapias alternas a los fármacos antimicrobianos. Métodos: Se realizó la búsqueda de literatura de google académico, pubmed y scielo. Haciendo uso de los siguientes términos: Resistencia, antibiótico, alternativas, multidrogoresistencia, fagoterapia, microbiota, prebióticos, probióticos y fago. Resultados: Se hizo un análisis de la información colectada y se logró identificar terapias alternas a los antibióticos como es el caso de la fagoterapia, la microbiota y su relación con prebióticos y probióticos. Conclusiones: Existen terapias alternas a los antibióticos y se lograron identificar múltiples propuestas, sin embargo, todas requieren incrementar la evidencia de su uso y aplicación.

Introduction: At present, one of the situations that represents one of the biggest problems in the health field is the multidrug resistance of pathogenic microorganisms. Objective: To carry out a review that can generate a compilation of alternative therapies to antimicrobial drugs. Methods: A literature search was performed in Google Academic, PubMed, and Scielo. Making use the following terms: Resistance, antibiotic, alternatives, multidrug resistance, phage therapy, microbiota, prebiotics, probiotics, and phage. Results: An analysis of the information collected was made and it was possible to identify alternative therapies to antibiotics such as phage therapy, microbiota, and their relationship with prebiotics and probiotics. Conclusions: There are alternative therapies to antibiotics and multiple proposals were identified; however, all of them require further evidence of their use and application.
