The incursion of women into university studies in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, information and communication areas – STEM & TIC, are little frequented and completed by women, which widens the gender gap in the inclusion of women in these areas. The objective of this article is to identify dominant factors of the little incursion of women in STEM & TIC career in La Paz city, Bolivia, through technological tools strengthening positive aspects of the influence exerted by the environment. The methodology implemented was of a nonexperimental, quantitative approach with a type of correlational study, of a random longitudinal type. The results obtained were the great influence of close environment to young women, lack of role models and self-perception that affect the decision to participate in these areas of great global demand that can be minimized with active participation and visualization of female professionals (role models) in communities and study groups.
