EL IMPACTO DE LA DISCAPACIDAD INTELECTUAL EN LA FAMILIA. ESTUDIO DE CASO
Abstract
El presente trabajo estuvo orientado al análisis de los tipos de estructuras familiares y los recursos con que contaban las familias objeto de investigación, que tenían un hijo o una hija con discapacidad intelectual. Se estudiaron las características de dichas estructuras y de los recursos que poseían, antes del nacimiento del niño o niña con discapacidad, comparándolos con los cambios ocurridos a partir del nacimiento de dicho sujeto, para determinar su nivel de adaptabilidad a la nueva situación. La investigación fue realizada con una metodología cualitativa, mediante entrevistas en profundidad a tres familias que tenían un hijo a hija con discapacidad intelectual entre los 6 y 10 años, que aceptaron voluntariamente participar en el estudio.
The aim of this research is understand the models of structure families and resources; those families have children with intellectual disability. It had analyze the characteristics of these structures and resources, and changes that occurred when the children was born with a disability, and their level of adaptability among new situations, which were compared before child born. The present research was performed to realize with qualitative methods, through in-depth interviews with three families, who had children with intellectual disabilities, between 6 to 10 years, who had agree to participate in the study.
