dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of an educational program on measures of variability: range, variance, standard deviation, standard error of the average, coefficient of proportional variation, using the Open Office CALC, in year five High School students. This investigation was carried out in order to find out why the contents were not included in the planning, educational difficulties express by Mathematics teachers and low performance students. The study was framed within the quantitative approach and followed a correlational scope and quasiexperimental design. It was applied at the “Genarina Dugarte Contreras” school, during the 2011-2012 academic year and there were significant differences between the Pre and Pos-test.
