dc.description.abstractThe present essay, in the form of reflection and supported by testimonies and own experiences, was elaborated in a first version, based on a request for an Open Forum sponsored by the School of Education of the Universidad de Los Andes at the end of 2016. The 2016-2017 school year, for the public education system, and specifically for the level of secondary education, started with a Curriculum Transformation Process that sparked interest in different instances, in this case, in a teacher training institution. The organizers of the Forum subdivided the thematic areas of the process, forming a round table on Stable Groups. We share the reflections of the moment, suitable already with an article format, essay type, coming from different encounters for the discussion, from the taking of data about the reality, and we configure a reflective, critical and to the extent of propositive possibilities. The idea of the Stable Group in Middle Education inspired curiosity, suggested novelty, and on such inspirations, we wanted to participate with a shared perspective that did not ignore the background, needs and urgencies of our Middle School.
