Abstract

Information units store documentary materials in physical or digital formats, requiring the optimization and development of their processes for proper management. Therefore, it is important to design a digital network of libraries and documentation centers for museums belonging to the National Museum System, thereby facilitating information exchange, maintaining communication, and providing optimal services. The methodology used was documentary and field-based, as data was collected at these locations through interviews with the staff in charge and a panel of specialists. Based on this data, the content was analyzed using a table of records and classifications. It was found that most of the interviewees believe it is essential to communicate with each other, collaborate within the proposed network, and align and consolidate into a single group, in order to provide better and sustainable services.
