Abstract
In this article an analysis of the University is developed from the focus of the administration of the quality. Reference is made to the elements that differentiate the traditional organizations and the organizations of quality, to outline that its main values are to reforce work in team, to maximize the client's satisfaction, to establish new address forms and to achieve the continuous improvement of their processes. The challenges and transformations have produced an imbalance in the university education, due to this an adaptation is required, to achieve the quality and to redefine its role society. The educational product, the satisfaction of the students, the satisfaction of the personnel of the institution and the effects of the impact in the society, are indicators that show the quality of a University. At a micro level, the analysis approaches criteria that allow an evaluation of the quality of the product that generates each one of the administrative functions the context of the university classroom. Finally the professor's role is to promote and to transform the changes focused towards quality taking account characteristics of a professor as an innovative leader. One comes to a conclusion that the Institutions of Superior Education are concerned to the necessity of change; they lead the essential key to excellence
