Vegetación de la Ceja de Monte Yungueña en el Parque Nacional Carrasco (Cochabamba - Bolivia)

| dc.description.abstract | VEGETATION OF THE CEJA DE MONTE IN THE YUNGAS OF THE CARRASCO NATIONAL PARK (COCHABAMBA- BOLlVIA) The results of a vegetation study of the Ceja de Monte in the Yungas of the Carrasca National Park are presented. The classic Braun -Blanquet method was used and adapted considering the modern concepts of successional andcatenal geobotany. One bioclimatic belt and two horizons (supratropical inferior and supratropical superior) were identified. Furthermore, three vegetation, series with their respective serial stages were found. These are the Kewina series (Symploco nanae -Polylepidetum lanatae), the Red Pine series (Perseo ruizii -Prumnopityetum exiguae), and the aliso series, present with a community of the same (Vallea stipularis and Alnus acuminata). In addition, permanent azonal vegetation was identified saxicolous, aquatic and epiphytic, resulting in ten associations and two communities, which are grouped in climatophyllous and edapho -hygrophylous series within altitudinal of 2 880 3700 m. Since the Ceja de Monte is a fragile developed to avoid the burning, deforestation, andovergrazing of the area.Key words: Vegetation, Yungas, Carrasca National Park , Cochabamba, Bolivia. RESUMEN Se presentan los resultados de un estudio de la vegetacion de la 'Ceja de Monte' de los yungas del Parque Nacional Carrasca. La metodologia utilizada sigue la aproximacion clasica de BRAUM-BLANQUET adaptada segun los modernos conceptos de la geobotanica dinamico-catenal. Se establecio un piso bioclimatico con dos horizontes (supratropical inferiorsuparatropical superior) y se identificaron dos geoseries, con tres series de vegetacion con sus respectivas etapas seriales: Serie de la Kewina (Symploco nanae -Polylepidetum lanatae); serie del pino colorado (Perseo ruizii .-Prumnopityetum exiguae) y finalmente la Serie del Aliso, representado por la comunidad del mismo (Vallea stipularis y Alnus acuminata). Se identifico ademas vegetacion azonal permanente (saxicola, acuatica y epifitica), sumando diez asociaciones y dos comunidades, a su vez agrupadas en series climatofilas y series edafohigrofilas dentro los limites altitudinales de 2 880 -3 700 m. Al constituir la Ceja de Monte un ecosistema fragil, que ademas juega un papel crucial en la proteccion de las cuencas hidrograficas, se deberian aplicar urgentes estrategias de conservacion, como: control de las quemas, deforestacion y del sobrepastoreo que son los impactos mas importantes en esta area.
