ORGANIZACIÓN, CONVIVENCIA Y REIVINDICACIONES EN TRES CAMPAMENTOS DE DAMNIFICADOS POST TERREMOTO-TSUNAMI DEL 27/F EN TALCAHUANO, CHILE

Abstract

Esta investigación se propuso conocer la percepción sobre las necesidades y clima social de una comunidad costera afectada por el terremoto y maremoto vivido en Chile en febrero de 2010. Se realizaron cinco entrevistas semi-estructuradas y una entrevista grupal. En total participaron 11 personas, 2 hombres y 9 mujeres de entre 31 y 81 años. Los corpus fueron analizados mediante el programa NVivo 8 siguiendo las etapas de la ground theory. Entre los principales efectos individuales observados está la experiencia acentuada de temor; en tanto desde lo social, destaca la vivencia de interdependencia entre los afectados y el incremento del sentido de pertenencia grupal. Se analizan las implicaciones de estos cambios para la comprensión de los procesos psicosociales que viven las localidades afectadas por desastres.

This research was intended to study the perception of both needs and social climate of a coastal community affected by the earthquake and tsunami lived in Chile in February 2010. Information collection techniques used in this study were five semi-structured interviews and a group interview. In total 11 people participated, two men and nine woman between 31 and 81 years. The Corpus were analyzed through sofware NVivo 8 following the steps of the ground theory. Among the main individual effects observed the accentuated fears experience can be noticed, whereas from the social side the interdependence experience among affected people and the increment of group belonging are highlighted. Implications of these changes are analyzed in order to comprehend the psychosocial processes experienced by communities affected by disasters.
