Depression is a disease that is increasing. Experts say that in 2030, it will be the main disease that humanity will have to face. There are many types of treatments that have been created, the main one is the pharmacological, with its different antidepressants; and then there is the therapy, a fundamental part with its different psychological currents, and that its choice is according to a functional analysis that is done for each patient personally, being the most used for its effective- ness, the cognitive behavioral therapy. This article also presents another therapeutic resource, not used by professionals in mental health until about two years ago, and it is the spir- itual resource, which has proven to be a fundamental piece that can help people overcome depression based on their relationship and trust in God, because spirituality is part of human being.
