Abstract

The occupation of lands in Onia and Culegria took place from the same arrival of the first Spanish settlers at the beginning of century XVI, with the passage of time and through policies carried out by the Spanish Crown took place considerable occupation of some areas that had not yet been fully populated. In this research we will carry out a review based on the existing documentation, which will allow us to know and explain the origin of the settlement of the area and what elements allowed the settlement of some people in these lands and made them the first attempts of occupation during the XVIII and XIX.
