dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a numerical model for the analysis of underground structures under effective stresses. The problem is addressed by using a threelineal behaviour law with a progressive strength reduction. The system of equations is solved using the finite differences. First of all the model is presented, then, a few applications to the computation of long term strain of Tunnels and satability of water conduction tunnels in rapid dawdown conditions.
