Abstract
Los países en su gran mayoría cuentan con bolsas de valores, en Latinoamérica algunas de ellas con una magnitud importante y completas en términos financieros, y otras aún en desarrollo, ya sea en cuanto a montos de negociación, multiplicidad de operaciones, instrumentos financieros negociados, mercados y demás aspectos inherentes a la operación de bolsa. Este estado de desarrollo implica en algunos casos la pérdida de oportunidades de inversión, financiamiento, desarrollo del mercado y diferentes factores que derivan de conceptos netamente económicos. El presente artículo analiza las situaciones actuales de bolsas latinoamericanas con datos estadísticos y genera una discusión sobre posibles alternativas estratégicas que puedan aportar al desarrollo de sus operaciones. Dicha aseveración se centra en la revisión de información fidedigna de mercado, analizando críticamente los datos y generando una posición crítica sobre la situación y devenir de los mercados financieros a nivel Latinoamérica. Most of the countries in Latin America have stock exchanges, some of them with an important and complete magnitude in financial terms, and others are still developing, either in terms of trading amounts, multiplicity of operations, financial instruments traded, markets and other aspects inherent to the stock exchange operation. This state of development implies in some cases the loss of investment opportunities, financing, market development and different factors derived from purely economic concepts. This article analyzes the current situation of Latin American stock exchanges with statistical data and generates a discussion on possible strategic alternatives that can contribute to the development of their operations. This assertion is centered on the review of reliable market information, critically analyzing the data and generating a critical position on the situation and future of the financial markets in Latin America.
