Reformas al Código del Trabajo introducidas por la Ley de Justicia Laboral y Reconocimiento del Trabajo en el Hogar

Abstract

El presente artículo analiza las principales reformas introducidas al Código del Trabajo por la Ley para la Justicia Laboral y Reconocimiento del Trabajo en el Hogar,1 que modificó también la Ley General de Seguridad Social, la Ley Orgánica de Servicio Público y la Ley Orgánica de Empresas Públicas. En el estudio se evaluará el cumplimiento de los objetivos previstos en dicha reforma, a más de un año de su publicación, en momentos de desaceleración económica del país, y cuando se encuentra también en vigencia la Ley Orgánica para la Promoción del Trabajo Juvenil, regulación excepcional de la jornada de trabajo, cesantía y seguro de desempleo, con nuevas reformas al Código del Trabajo, a la Ley Orgánica de Servicio Público, a la Ley General de Seguridad Social y a la Ley del Banco del Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social. This article analyses the principal amendments to the Working Code made by the Law of Labor Justice, and Recognition of the Work at Home. This law also modified the Law of General Social Security, the Organic Law of Public Service, and the Organic Law of Public Companies. This study will evaluate the accomplishment of the objectives of the reform, one year later of its publication. In addition, the context where this article is located is the economic slowdown, the extraordinary regulation of working day, unemployment insurance, and the new amendments of the Working Code, the Organic Law of Public Service, Law of General Social Security, and the Law of the Bank of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security.
