Pensar la democracia en Bolivia
Abstract
El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad meditar acerca de la democracia boliviana durante el primer mandato del presidente Evo Morales (2006-2012). Primeramente se reflexionará sobre la democracia, para luego explicar cómo funciona en Bolivia; posteriormente se analizarán los Indicadores de Desarrollo Democrático de América Latina (IDD-LAT) de Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, entre los años 2005 y 2012, centrados en Bolivia. En esta línea se trabajará con la variable "el ejercicio del poder efectivo para gobernar". Esta variable tiene dos subíndices: "capacidad para generar políticas que aseguren bienestar" y "capacidad para generar políticas que aseguren eficiencia económica".
This paper aims to reflect on Bolivian democracy during the first term of President Evo Morales (2006-2012). First we will reflect on democracy, to explain after how it works in Bolivia. Subsequently, Democratic Development in Latin America (IDD-LAT) of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung indicators between 2005 and 2012 will be analized, focusing on Bolivia. The latter has two subscripts: the "ability to generate policies that ensure well-being" and the "ability to generate policies to ensure economic efficiency".
