Nowadays, there is a need of new approaches and models for real time solutions in industrial automation to respond to unexpected changes in systems control  and to minimize non adequate operations in the process that may affect the product's quality, safety  and can have environmental consequences. In the case of fault detection and diagnosis, a real time performance of the proposed solutions allows the development of applications in the SCADA level. Taking into account the importance of minimizing the differences between theoretical approaches and industrial requirements, this paper presents the development of a SCADA application based on models for fault detection and diagnosis under ISA 95 norm.
