dc.description.abstractBolivia ranked ninth among the countries most affected by COVID-19 contagion in Latin America during the pandemic. The city of Potosí or “Villa Imperial” was no exception, which is why the objective was to analyze the social and labor effects. caused by COVID-19 in families in the municipality of Potosí. Methodologically, the level of the study was descriptive, whose information came from the survey applied to the directors of two union federations in the city of Potosí because it is considered the sector of the area most vulnerable to this pandemic crisis, and specialists from the economic area were also interviewed. social and health services chosen through intentional sampling. The findings indicated that intra-family problems were based on economic instability, unemployment, the informality of the main regional productive activity and the risk of suffering and/or dying from Coronavirus
