Abstract

Among the issues that have attracted the attention of scholars in recent years is that of risk. In the German-speaking world, "Risikoforschung" is promoted and seminars are held in business schools to teach how to manage risk. On the other hand, the issue of risk is a fundamental part of modern financial theory, where all choice models are built on the basis of a world with uncertainty, a scenario in which the consequences of decisions are contingent on the opportunity in that are carried out and the state of nature that is actually carried out. In this work it will be shown how risk, although it is a constitutive element of human life, has experienced a notable increase in recent years (I); then its importance will be shown (II) and the personal and social reactions that this phenomenon provokes (III), to end by highlighting some of its consequences in the legal field (IV)
