Abstract

The Bolivian specialist in communication science, Luis Ramiro Beltran Salmon, reminds us in this essay about Latin American communication, and particularly, about the critical research initiated in this field in the seventies, a period of singular historical importance which witnessed the emergence in the world of questions about development, democracy and communication. And, remembering the leadership which evolved in his country's insurgent region, especially in the communication realm, he issues a call to today's communication experts to continue the struggle.
