The subject of post-modernity has raised interest and also all kinds of criticisms. Concerns relate to politics, market, democracy, communication, traditional social actors, ethnic groups, cultures and multi-culturality, etc. Therefore the scope of the discussion is very broad and demands an academic effort, also an objective and also responsible and critic perspective. Information on Latin-American academic production on the debates about post-modernity provided by this piece aims to be a challenge and an invitation to a responsible criticism.
