dc.description.abstractTo achieve the goals of a school organization, teachers must possess strong normative commitment, as this significantly impacts their performance in fulfilling their duties. This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership and team effectiveness on normative commitment, with work motivation as a moderating variable. The subjects of the study were civil servant teachers (ASN) in public elementary schools (UPTD SD Negeri) in the Kota Kisaran Barat subdistrict, totaling 107 teachers, with a sample of 27 teachers (25% of the population). Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through regression techniques. The results showed that transformational leadership and team effectiveness positively influence work motivation, with thitung values exceeding ttabel. Additionally, both variables directly and positively affect teachers’ normative commitment. Work motivation was found to significantly and positively influence normative commitment, with a thitung value of 3.819 > 1.703. Indirect effects were also identified. Transformational leadership, through work motivation, contributed 5.116% to normative commitment, while team effectiveness, through work motivation, contributed 5.898%. These findings highlight the importance of inspirational leadership, cohesive teamwork, and work motivation in enhancing teachers’ normative commitment, ultimately supporting the achievement of school organizational goals.
