Deep transformations in society that have occurred during the last decades have been strongly influenced by the expansion and massive use of ICTs. Contemporary culture, also called, digital culture, cyberculture, or technoculture, has been associated to the influence TICs have on the way social and cultural entities communicate, perceive and create contemporary thought. The development of virtual life and information technologies is an important but non-determinant factor in virtual education. Understanding technology and its influence on society is not an easy task when aspects such as the relation between technical complexity and everyday life and the distinction between natural and artificial systems are not well distinguished. In conclusion, the relationship between technology and society modifies the way we see technology, that is, what should be contingent becomes essential and what should be essential becomes contingent.
