EL REFORMULADOR EN EL ESPAÑOL DE CHILE: UNA PROPUESTA DE CLASIFICACIÓN FUNCIONAL

espanolEl presente estudio analiza las funciones del reformulador explicativo en el espanol de Chile. Este marcador se observo en el Corpus Basico del Espanol de Chile, de alrededor de 500.000 palabras distribuidas en cinco mundos: Drama, Narrativa, Ensayo, Tecnico-Cientifico y Prensa. El 81% de las ocurrencias se concentro en Ensayo y Tecnico-Cientifico, lo que da cuenta de su relevancia en la escritura academica (Nunez, Munoz y Mihovilovic, 2006). La perspectiva teorica metodologica en la que se sustenta el constructo analitico-descriptivo de esta investigacion recoge los aportes provenientes de aproximaciones textuales (Ciapuscio, 2001), pragmaticas (Portoles, 2007) y enunciativas (Garcia Negroni, 2009) al estudio de los marcadores del discurso. La metodologia es de caracter mixto cuantitativa-cualitativa, dada la necesidad de realizar estudios de marcadores basados en corpus que puedan dar cuenta del funcionamiento de estas piezas en textos escritos en espanol de Chile. Los principales resultados del estudio evidencian el caracter especializado del marcador, asi como la diversidad de macro y microfunciones que despliega a nivel discursivo y lexico. Por ultimo, a partir del analisis de los datos, se propone un modelo clasificatorio de las funciones intraoracionales del reformulador explicativo que puede ser aplicado a otros corpus tanto orales como escritos para asi afinar la taxonomia y contribuir a la descripcion del comportamiento de este marcador en la variedad chilena de la lengua espanola. EnglishThe present study analyzes the functions of the reformulation marker of explanation used in Chilean Spanish. This marker was observed in the Corpus Basico del Espanol de Chile, which contains 500.000 words distributed in 5 worlds: Drama, Narration, Essay, Scientific-technical texts and Press. In this corpus, 81% of the entries are found in Essay and Scientific-technical texts, showing its relevance in academic writing (Nunez, Munoz y Mihovilovic, 2006). The theoretical-methodological perspective on which this analytical-descriptive construct is based, considers the contributions of textual (Ciapuscio, 2001), pragmatic (Portoles, 2007) and declarative approaches (Garcia Negroni, 2009) to the study of discourse markers. A qualitative-quantitative methodology is used due to the need of corpus studies on which it is possible to see how markers work in written texts in Chilean Spanish. The main results reveal a specialized marker, as well as different micro and macro functions shown at a lexical and discursive level. Finally, a classification model of the functions intra sentence for the reformulation marker of explanation is proposed which can be applied to different oral and written corpuses in order to refine the taxonomy and to contribute to the description of this marker in the Chilean variant of Spanish language.
