dc.description.abstractFor the threshold of motion of individual particles disseminated over a compact bed of sediment an experimental study has been archived. The eventual influence of relative roughness, density of individual particles and ratio of diameters of individual particles and those of the compact bed on the critical velocity have been studied. The results exhibits no influence of density ratio and a little influence of diameter ratio. The relative roughness of the compact bed shows a little and slow influence if is it larger than 2. For little values of the relative roughness, its influence is strong.
