Myrciaria coimbrarum (tribe Myrteae, subtribe Pliniinae), a new species endemic to the Serranía Chiquitana and the Abayoy vegetation (department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia), is described. Myrciaria coimbrarum is compared with M. cuspidata which is the most similar species. In addition, Myrcianthes minimifolia is here reported as a new record for the Bolivian flora. Furthermore, for the Catalogue of Vascular Plants of Bolivia, the name Eugenia stictopetala should replace E. tapacumensis (= synonym of E. stictopetala) and Myrciaria tenella should be excluded, since as all the Bolivian specimens previous identified with this name correspond to M. cuspidata.
