Abstract
Based on the implementation of semi-structured interviews and participant observation, a description was made\nof the hunting instruments and wildlife tracking procedures used by the Ngäbe indigenous people in Osa, Costa\nRica, between October and November 2013. According to the interviewees there are 5 types of instruments and\n4 hunting procedures used by this indigenous people. Hunting instruments commonly used are machetes and\nfirearms with or without dogs, particularly for hunting mammals, besides the slingshot to catch birds and reptiles.\nAlso, the procedures used are the identification of feeders and the sighting of wildlife, both to hunt mammals\nand only the second to capture both birds and reptiles.
