La psicología humanista: sus orígenes y su significado en el mundo de la psicoterapia a medio siglo de existencia

Abstract

El artículo intenta dar cuenta del surgimiento de la Psicología Humanista en la década de 1960, destacando sus orígenes y características distintivas, los objetivos de su nacimiento y evaluando sus logros, así como nuevos fenómenos psicológicos descubiertos. Se describe un nuevo paradigma emergente, conocido como Filosofía de lo Implícito creado por Eugene Gendlin, descubridor del Focusing. Finalmente se destacan los aportes de la Psicología Humanista que han perdurado después de medio siglo de existencia.

The article attempts to explain the emergence of humanistic psychology in the 1960s, highlighting their origins and distinctive characteristics, the objectives of his birth and evaluating their achievements, as well as newly discovered psychological phenomena.
