dc.description.abstractThe initial purpose of this essay is to examine the diatribe on the predominance of the word over music and vice versa, through the teleological -the final cause-, for this, they are considered with preference the positions Schopenhauer and Nietzsche , philosophers who have been classified as irrationalist, nevertheless we start with Plato and review Kant by virtue of the basis they provide for the ours conclusions, among which we would highlight that although the sense of nonfunctionality of art prevails, the truth is, that its purpose and its existence, is so intimate to the nature of man as to overcome the ineffable aesthetic experiences, in addition to examining the ontological order that entails music.
