The objective of this research was to propose a model for evaluating the performance of operational personnel in the small leather jacket manufacturing industry in the city of El Alto, in order to improve the efficiency of human resources in the performance of their functions. A deductive approach was used and an explanatory descriptive study was carried out. This study focused specifically on the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) dedicated to the production of leather jackets. The results obtained from this study provide relevant information for specific cases in the jacket manufacturing SME sector. It was identified that these companies apply human resources evaluations in a vertical and arbitrary manner, focusing mainly on the negative aspects of workers or employees. These practices do not contribute to improving the efficiency of human resources at any time.
