Chagas disease vector control in Central America

Abstract

As the Southern Cone Initiative proceeds steadily towards eradication of Triatoma infestans, there is increasing interest in applying similar approaches to control Chagas disease vectors in Mexico, Central America and countries of the Andean Pact. Here, Chris Schofield and lean-Pierre Dujardin discuss the technical feasibility of such an approach.
