Abstract

Active ingredients and therapeutical utilization of toxic plants of the genus Datura. Because its paliative and curative properties in many pathologies, most of the species of the genus Datura have been used for long time, at times causing toxicity. This paper reviews the chemistry, therapeutical practices in folk medicine, clinical signs and symptoms of the toxicity and the therapeutical treatment of poisoning.
