Resistencia a la flexión de diferentes pernos reforzados con fibra

Abstract

The reconstruction of teeth with post intraradicular fiber reinforced resin seeks to avoid the fracture of the tooth roots and the darkening of the restored teeth, caused by metal posts. Its main features are its potential adhesive and mechanical properties similar to dentin. In thin root canal with little remaining coronal structure to ensure an ferrule is essential to assess the type of post required. Objective: to evaluate the mechanical properties of fiber reinforced thin post by mechanical strength tests and observations of internal microstructure. It assesses five types of bolts (Reforpost Rx fiberglass Reforpost Rx carbon fiber Reforpost mix Rx, ParaPost fiber lux 3 and ParaPost fiber lux No. 4), subjecting them to bending tests on three points and observation with scanning electron microscopy , determining the relationship between the internal integrity and resistance to flexion. ParaPost bolts lux fiber 3 and fiber ParaPost lux No. 4 recorded the highest values of flexural strength associated with low porosity. The higher flexural modulus was observed in Reforpost bolts carbon fiber, with low resistance to bending. Reforpost Rx pins fiberglass, carbon fiber Reforpost Rx, Rx Reforpost have more porous mix.
