The extensive work in literature, philosophy and essays of Jose Manuel Briceno Guerrero, also known as Jonuel Brigue (Palmarito de Apure, 1929, Merida 2014) constitutes a fundamental reference for literary studies and important topics such as Latin America, art, culture, the latin american being, etc. His sharp eye, supported by a vast and varied training, curiously structure a simplicity that facilitates the message of his work. Of the many elements that made up his work there is one that little has been explored: the presence of the food in explaining fundamental aspects of man. Through specific examples in their literary texts, here pretends it see the value to the culinary to Briceno has not only as a cultural expression or necessity but as a way of understanding facts first order of importance to the human been.
