Abstract

Nowadays Venezuelan geometric abstraction undergoes substantial changes in terms of the exploration of its forms and modes of expression setting apart from its initial speeches of sensitive purity. It is now found deconstructed, re-signified through its contamination from other sensitive experiences which overwhelm geometric abstraction with questionings, daily experiences and new participation modes. In this direction, the geometric abstractions of three contemporary Venezuelan artists are explored: Isabel Cisneros, Miguel Braceli and Erika Ordosgoitti, in order to visualize and understand in their works how the reviews of an abstract geometric language spinning around the conceptualization of new significant contents, is produced.
