Abstract

In this paper we intend to expose the participation of teachers of elementary schools in La Grita (1838) and during the Section Tachira of the Great State of Los Andes (Venezuela) in the 19th century, at the time of the discussion of the patriarchal paradigm due to the origin of the Schools for Girls. Elementary schools were originated in Venezuela depending on provincial governments and not on the National State. The lack of funds in municipalities prolonged the coherence of a national education plan. In this work it is used the history of mentalities as a resource to opt for the values and habits that allows to analyze the permanence and internalization of patriarchal reasoning.
