Abstract

This investigation aims to study how the linguistic variation between Military troops´s commanders and indigenous communities influences the interaction of these groups in Amazon region. Thus, it contextualizes the area of study; identifies the native education system; characterizes the linguistic variation in this environment; discusses the coexistence between Military personnel and indigenous communities in these regions; and analyses a survey of this interaction. At the end of the essay, it can be concluded that the non-acquisition of knowledge about linguistic variation phenomena by the military personnel makes difficult the effective interaction with Indians.
