Migración interna en Bolivia. Un ejercicio de construcción de ciudadanía
Abstract
The essay explores the relationship between the immigration inside Bolivia that comes from rural areas of native population basis and the status of formal citizenship conceived from the ideas proposed by Rousseau and the ideal of the state-nation. This principle of citizenship finally opposes to the real one, which is lived by thousands of internal immigrants to the main Bolivian cities. These groups find their rights restricted by the social and cultural exclusions provoked by the city and their inhabitants.
